I had done everything right, I had applied myself, I had worked and studied at the same time to get an MBA and two other master’s degrees in Marketing, I had worked for established fashion houses, moving abroad many times for my career…… often leaving friends and loved-ones behind, who at times did not comprehend how important my work and my desire to grow were.
And then….. I arrived where I wanted only to realize that I wasn’t happy (incredible, eh?).
I always had the sensation that something was missing, that this couldn’t be “it”…. There had to be something more. I didn’t know what exactly, but I was certain that it was out there. I dreamed of a different life; I needed freedom to decide how to spend my time and to express my creativity.
And it was in that moment that I asked myself, “Nicole, who do you want to be? What life do you want to lead?”
IT’S HARD TO MAKE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE, BUT I BELIEVE IT’S A LOT HARDER TO JUST ACCEPT THINGS THE WAY THEY ARE.
